Walk, jog or run a 5k in 2010

Following the success of last year’s partnership between Paths for All and JogScotland, we are again taking the opportunity to promote the JogScotland 5k challenge series to our network of walking for heath projects across Scotland.

The JogScotland 5k challenge series returns to venues across Scotland this summer, and is this year sponsored by Healthy Working Lives. The events are unique in that they are run mid-week in the summer evenings with the aim of encouraging local communities to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the physical benefits of exercise.

With fun at the heart of the Healthy Working Lives JogScotland 5k challenges, it is the perfect evening out – so grab your trainers and your family and friends and head to a venue near you.

  • The series kicks off in Aberdeen on Wednesday 9 June, and then heads north to Inverness on Wednesday 16 June.
  • On Tuesday 22 June, the Healthy Working Lives jogscotland 5k challenge will visit the Borders, then Glasgow Green on Wednesday 23 June and Edinburgh’s Inverleith Park on Tuesday 29 June.
  • The final challenge will take place for the very first time in Dundee’s Camperdown Country Park on Wednesday 30 June.

JogScotland challenges you, your friends, family and colleagues to walk, jog or run 5k this summer. Each event is incredibly inclusive, so that everyone can take part and have fun. Some people run the course, while others walk or jog – it’s the perfect opportunity to take a stroll on a summer evening with your friends and families.
