Path Construction and Contract Management Basics

This course is free to community volunteers (£75 for non-volunteers)

This one day course provides a basic introduction to constructing paths in rural and urban environments and managing a path construction project efficiently and safely.

The course will cover:
• Basic principles of hand and machine built path construction practice
• Plant and equipment used by contractors to build paths
• Managing contractors (working with contractors, overseeing, monitoring and starting and closing a path construction project),
• Dealing with contract problems, and;
• CDM Regulations 2007 overview – regulations, competency, duty holders, their duties and responsibilities, and the various key documents required to comply with CDM Regs.

Who is the event for?

This course is open to anyone involved in, or interested in, path construction and managing path construction projects. The course is particularly of value to those new to these subjects.
