Promoting & Developing Path Networks: Opportunities for Delivery on National Indicators & Outcomes

This new Paths for All Partnership reference document has been developed to assist Access Officers and Access Managers to successfully win resources for path network development and promotion.

In each section of the table the national indicator, to which action is targeted, is set out ahead of the national outcomes to which the indicator relates. This is followed by evidence relating policy and guidance and lastly the contribution that access can make towards the indicator and outcomes. The text relating to evidence, policy, guidance and access contributions has been extracted directly from the relevant documents, with references and hyperlinks to the full document provided directly beneath the extracts.

In summary, this reference table is a tool to assist Access Officers and Access Managers to demonstrate that outdoor access development helps to meet the outcomes and indicators in their SOA. It is also hoped that the document will help to shape priorities and indicators in future revisions of the SOA.

The reference table may also be of interest to Community Planning Partnership Co-ordinators, Planners, Greenspace Officers, Cycling Officers, Health Walk Co-ordinators etc.

The Partnership trusts that this document will be useful to you in your endeavours to develop the outdoor access resource in your respective areas.
