About Us
Paths for All is a national charity promoting walking for health and the development of multi-use path networks.
Our Vision is 'Paths for people ... a happier, healthier, greener, more active Scotland'.
To deliver this Vision we believe and work to the following values:
- We are honest and transparent
- We are visionary and innovation
- We are committed to partnership working
- We are ambitious to succeed
Our strategic priorities are to reduce the proportion of the population who are inactive, through the delivery of a national walking programme; and to increase the number, quality, accessibility and multi-use of paths.
For further details on Paths for All's plans and activities refer to our 2009-2012 Strategy. In addition, an annual, detailed Business Plan is produced.
There are two main areas of activity - Walking for Health (formerly known as Paths to Health) and Path Network Development (formerly known as Outdoor Access).
The Walking for Health and Path Network Development teams are here to help and offer advice. Development Officers cover specific areas across Scotland to support and encourage local authorities and other partners to plan and develop health walks and path networks aimed at meeting local needs.
Paths for All currently comprises 20 partner organisations representing relevant public sector and national representative bodies. A Board of ten voluntary Directors guides the work of Paths for All. Board Papers are available to download from the website.
